GeoStructures and ASAP Group joined the ICOP family in 2025, bringing East Coast knowledge and local service to a global operation. Together, we deliver end-to-end geotechnical solutions backed by decades of design-build experience.

Expanding to the U.S.

North American Foundations

On March 31, 2025, ICOP acquired Atlantic GeoConstruction Holdings: the enterprise behind GeoStructures and ASAP Group.

ICOP gained access to the North American market, and the GeoStructures and ASAP Group teams received the backing of an internationally respected geotechnical construction firm.

100 Years of Expertise

ICOP International

Engineer Alvise Petrucco founded Impresa F.lli Costantini e Ing. Petrucco in 1920. Today, that family business has grown into ICOP: an internationally operating geotechnical engineering company with expertise in special foundations, microtunneling, maritime construction, and general contractor services.

ICOP has worked in 25 countries and has opened permanent operations in 12 of them. ICOP International attributes its success to the people behind the business, and treats the company “as if it were a community.”

GeoStructures Founded

1995

Michael Cowell founds GeoStructures, Inc. to provide engineering, design-build and construction services for ground improvement and slope stabilization throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

GeoConstructors Founded

1997

GeoConstructors, Inc., GeoStructures’s sister company specializing in aggregate piers, earth support, micropiles, and rapid impact compaction, is founded.

Landslide Stabilization

1999

GeoStructures installs Geopier® for the first-ever landslide application.

GeoStructures Expands

2001

GeoStructures gains licensure in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Impact® Piers

2003

GeoStructures installs its first Geopier Impact® Piers: specialized ground improvement systems installed via displacement in areas where traditional drilling is impossible.

ASAP Founded

2005

ASAP Installations is founded. The business specializes in sheet pile installation and ground improvement.

Rapid Impact Technology

2005

GeoStructures introduces rapid impact technology to the United States.

ASAP Expands

2006

ASAP enters a decade of growth, expanding its offerings, delivering expertise in the installation of soil anchors, bracing systems, pile & lagging walls, micropiles, and ground improvement systems.

GeoConcrete® Columns

2010

GeoStructures installs its first GeoConcrete® columns. GCCs transfer heavy loads on soft, organic, or compressible soils, allowing clients to develop sites with challenging ground conditions.

Slope Reinforcement Technology

2013

GeoStructures installs its first Geopier SRT® system, a slope reinforcement technology that uses patented Plate Pile™ elements to stabilize slopes with minimal disruption.

Ductile Iron Piles

2015

GeoStructures installs the first ductile iron piles, providing high-capacity deep foundations faster and more economically than ever before.

Sheet Piling

2017

ASAP’s patented Sheetpiler™ technology makes faster, lower-vibration installations possible in undesirable soils.

Under One Roof

2021

GeoStructures and ASAP Group are combined under the same holding company, laying the foundation for collaborative geostructural construction across the Eastern United States.

Restoring the Everglades

2022

ASAP concludes work on the C-43 Reservoir project, contributing to the restoration of the Florida Everglades.

ICOP Acquisition

2025

ICOP takes ownership of ASAP Group and GeoStructures, providing the support of an internationally renowned firm with over a century of expertise.

A New Story

2026

ASAP Group and GeoStructures officially become ICOP, working together to continue transforming the Eastern United States.
