ASAP Group, a division of ICOP, has received a prestigious award from the Pile Driving Contractors Association. The PDCA named ICOP’s work on the Swire Temporary Business Center the 2025 Project of the Year in the Land: Less Than $1M category.

Award-Winning Structures & Retention

Our team was responsible for the supply and vibratory installation of 234 linear feet of sacrificial steel sheet piles: extra-thick structural elements designed to withstand corrosion in harsh marine environments. These piles created a manmade pond to capture runoff for the Swire Temporary Business Center, all without increasing the load on the existing seawall. The result was added support for excavation, as well as the construction of a future high-rise development.

ICOP crews needed to install hundreds of sheet piles in a small site between the ocean and an existing structure: the Swire Sales Center. Advanced sheet piling technology made precision installation possible. Because of the proximity to the existing seawall, a variable moment hammer was required to minimize disruption during the installation of 40-foot PZC 18 section sheet piles.

Excellence From Mobilization to Installation

ICOP encountered two major obstacles during the Swire Temporary Business Center Project.

First, we needed to consider the logistics. Building on an island requires extensive planning and coordination. The ICOP team ensured the right equipment and materials were delivered on time, then maneuvered them to make the best use of the site’s small footprint.

Our other challenge came in the form of site constraints. The sheet piles needed to be installed in a very narrow area. With no margin for error, ICOP’s operators were responsible for accuracy and precision. They rose to the occasion.
